Deadpan Fury is a private community in which the members, or contributors, present their thoughts in a real-time format, and then find themselves mocked endlessly. Think of it as a magazine in which articles get answered immediately. Or a somewhat slower version of talk radio.

The contributors of Deadpan Fury all have one thing in common. They take their writing seriously. We do welcome new contributors here, but the standards are high, and you'd be better served by reading what others provide if you're not willing to live up to them. The contributors here live and die by one golden rule. If you've got nothing to say, say nothing at all.

Some of you may have seen a bulletin board like this before. Some of you may be members at other boards. Know now that Deadpan Fury operates on a different level. No one is above any others here. The moderators are there to archive posts that will be kept for posterity. There are no administrators. If you're looking for a place to publish your thoughts for the whole word to see, then you're in the right place. If you habitually use signatures that are longer than any of your posts, you're in the wrong place. If you have ever proudly proclaimed yourself a member of HEAT, FLIP, TWAT, or what have you, then you're in the wrong place. If you only post because you enjoy hiding behind an "online persona", then you're in the wrong place.

This place isn't for everyone. If you enjoy these things, then there are a million places on the Internet for you to go. Deadpan Fury is for those with something to say, and a level of pride in how they say it. Come peruse if you wish. Apply if you think you've got the stuff.
